Laugh for Lives archives: 2010
To celebrate the upcoming 5th Anniversary of AADP’s stand-up comedy extravaganza Laugh for Lives on March 2, we’re taking a look back at the evolution of the event over the years. The event has proved to be a great fundraiser as well as an opportunity to educate the public and register a high volume of potential bone marrow donors. To chronicle past education and outreach efforts to showcase what has been effective is one of the key purposes of TransplantInformers. This series of retrospective posts focused on this particular event not only strengthens institutional memory but also gives other donor recruitment folks more fresh ideas they can remix.
We already had 2011 handily on file, but going further back was a bit more difficult. Certainly the speed of the digital age means that our informational output in donor recruitment is moving at a faster pace than ever. So how do we keep track and prevent having to re-invent the wheel? One of the best tools out there is the Wayback Machine. Thanks to its lovely machinations we’re able to share a snapshot in time of Laugh for Lives in 2010.
We found AADP’s original web content on LFL 2010 here.
Through that, we were also able to see the original ticket purchase page. You could be directed to the link to using this image/button:
And the grand finale, a slideshow of nearly 100 images from the event.
Keep your eyes peeled for more posts as we burrow even further into the archives to reveal more secrets for LFL’s guffaw-worthy past! And don’t forget to buy your tickets for Laugh for Lives 2012 before they’re sold out!
